Dr. Mary Koelsch, DVM
Dr. Mary Koelsch is a southern Ohio native whose lifelong dream has been to be a veterinarian. She has worked in some facet of the field since she was 13 years old. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Eureka College in Eureka, IL. She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2014. Upon graduation, she moved to northwest Ohio to practice as a mixed animal practitioner. After one year she transitioned to a small animal exclusive practice in a neighboring area. Dr. Mary has now moved back to the Cincinnati area to be closer to family.
Her professional interests include canine physical rehabilitation, internal medicine, behavior, and exotic animal medicine. She is working towards her certification as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. Dr. Mary is always eager to learn new things and loves working with her clients to take the best care of their furry, feathery, or scale-y family members. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Mary and her husband, Chris, live in Lebanon with their beautiful daughter. They have two wonderful greyhounds named Sunny and Phantom, as well as four adventurous cats named Grizzabella, Katana, Omar, and O'Malley. In her free time, Dr. Mary enjoys staying active, cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Elizabeth Reno, DVM
Sr. Veterinarian / Owner, WC Vet Center
Dr. Elizabeth Reno's goal in life was always to become a veterinarian. She is an Ohio native and has been working in the veterinary field for over 19 years. She graduated from the Ohio State School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After graduation, Liz moved to Arizona and managed an emergency, medical, and surgical veterinary center.
She is now the Senior Veterinarian and owner of West Chester Veterinary Center. Liz is a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Information Network.
Liz has two sons, Michael & Ben and a dog.
Dr. Reno’s dog is named Sonrisa, (Spanish for smile). But she is holding Doug, whom we call Dr. Doug because he occasionally shares words of wisdom with his fellow furballs via our SM posts.
Dr. Jennifer Malcolm , BVMS, MRCVS
A native of Cincinnati, Dr. Jen has always had a love for Animals and the practice of medicine; but took a bit of circuitous route to her current vocation as Veterinarian. She studied graphic design in undergrad and holds a B.F.A. from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Upon graduation she began working at a small animal clinic just outside Philadelphia and attended Villanova University to supplement her academic requirements. She traveled overseas to Scotland to attend veterinary school and has a B.V.M.S. (Bachelors of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery) from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow. She also holds and M.R.C.V.S. (Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons).
Dr. Jen is enthusiastic about continuing education opportunities and stays up-to-date on the most current research. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, dentistry, radiology and surgery. When not focused with laser-intensity on veterinary medicine, Dr. Jen loves cooking, reading, gardening and swimming. She energetically shares her life with her husband, 4 young children, 3 dogs and 3 cats.
